June 14, 2025 | Main Street, Warrenton, VA

🎉 A Day of Celebration & Education

The Fauquier County Republican Committee (FCRC) proudly joined Warrenton’s Juneteenth Celebration on June 14, 2025. It was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate freedom and highlight the role the Republican Party has played in the emancipation of slaves and the civil rights movement.

“Juneteenth is not only a celebration of emancipation, but also an opportunity to share untold stories of unity and progress.” — FCRC

📚 Sharing the Legacy of Juneteenth

Volunteer Barbara Tucker curated a moving exhibit spotlighting:

  • The Emancipation Proclamation
  • Historic events of Juneteenth
  • Early Black Republican leaders
  • The Civil Rights Acts of 1964 & 1968

Visitors also received an educational handout about Juneteenth’s origins and significance.

🇺🇸 Community Engagement

We welcomed dozens of attendees — young and old — who stopped by for conversation, flags, balloons, and a patriotic good time.

FCRC participants included:
Barbara Tucker, Reesa Barklage, Frank & Maggie Wickersham, Bob & Joyce Najjar, Fred Verdi, Peggy Keapproth, Norma Ochs, Ann Popovich, Sue Evangelista, and Tim Hoffman.
