Do you know the Crossover of Bills begins on 13 February?
“Crossover day” in the Virginia General Assembly is the day in the legislative session where bills must pass in their respective chambers in order to be considered by the other chamber. Simply put, a bill must pass in the House of Delegates before it can be considered in the Senate, and vice versa. After crossover, the only bills each chamber can consider must have already passed the other legislative chamber – the Senate can only hear House bills, and the House can only hear bills passed by the state Senate.
If a bill passes both legislative chambers, it is sent to the Governor Youngkin’s desk, where he will either veto it, sign it into law, or allow it to become law without his signature.

Today, 30 January 2024, they are slated to vote on expanding Ranked Choice Voting and making membership in the Electronic Registration Information Center mandatory.
