The FCRC and PRWC hosted a Fauquier Republican HQ grand opening Friday evening, August 5. A large enthusiastic crowd of GOP supporters enjoyed a feast of delicious food and beverages, and were provided with a wide selection of voter and campaign information.  Robin Corcoran did a brisk business selling Trump apparel and knickknacks, and visitors enjoyed having their photos taken with life-size cutouts of Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan.

Chairman Kay Hayes was delighted to welcome Fauquier Republican elected official guests Delegate Michael Webert, Sheriff Bob Mosier, Treasurer Tanya Wilcox, Supervisor Chris Butler, Warrenton Town Councilmen Kevin Carter and Alex Burnett, along with Republican Manassas Park Councilman Michael Carrera, RPV State Central Committee member Bob Watson, Trump Campaign Maryland and Northern Virginia State Director John Jaggers, RPV/RNC/Team Virginia Deputy State Director Melissa Fwu and Regional Field Director Patrick Gooley, Garrett campaign Political Director Chris Farmer, and Robert Melvin, Legislative Director for Delegate Weber.

The beautifully decorated and efficiently laid out HQ, equipped with broadband, will provide voters all the information they need to make an informed decision, and will serve as a base of operations for Team Virginia, Trump, Garrett, and Wittman campaigns’ coordination, organization, and administration of their get-out-the-vote efforts in our area. Please volunteer to help achieve our goal to win in November.

Many thanks are owed to Walt Story for organizing the team to set up the headquarters, to Robin Corcoran with her extraordinary talents in creating the welcoming décor inside and out, to Polly Gable, Amy Thorpe, and Carolyn Kirkland for the wonderful fare, and to Anne Clagett who tirelessly keeps everyone connected through daily communications, and so many others who have made this grand opening a success and the HQ a going concern.

We owe special gratitude to Ann Gravett and her family for preparing and allowing use of their facility for this campaign period. Words cannot adequately express our sincere appreciation for the generosity of these long-time friends who have provided so much support for our committee and the community.
